Starting tomorrow, Street Star Clothing will be hosting a design contest to find the next hot one of a kind design. The winner will receive a $350 gift card from Street Star, their design on a shirt, and instant recognition to our loyal fan base of over 10,000 fans and followers on our twitter, myspace, facebook and blog.

Entering the contest is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

1. Create your own original design to upload to our fan page.

2. Members of our fan page will vote on submitted designs.

3. If you win, you get prizes and instant recognition.

The Street Star Facebook community will vote by commenting and "liking" your submission. These likes and comments will help us decide which designs should become the next Street Star One of a Kind design!

Tips & Guidelines

You may only submit one design to this contest

Use a maximum of four (4) colors for your design - no gradients or transparent layers are allowed.

Save the design as a JPG at 300 dpi before uploading.

Remember the design must be your own original unpublished work and must not contain any third-party logos, trademarks or copyright material.

Think twice about using common symbols in your designs that may already be overused.

Use a shirt template to layer your design on top of; some participants have already done this while others have uploaded the design only. Using a shirt template will help voters visualize your design on an actual shirt.

Use a lower amount of colors and less complex designs to create something that will still stand out, but is less overwhelming.

By submitting a design, you agree that Street Star may post your Entry (including your name) on its Facebook, Website(s) and/or its Web pages on third party sites.

To increase your chances of getting more votes for your design, here are some tips:

1. "Share" your design with your Facebook friends. It's easy to do this. Once your design is posted to the Street Star fan page, find your design, then click on the "Share" button underneath it. This will let you post your design on your Facebook wall for all of your friends to see. You can also leave a message encouraging all of them to vote.

2. Ask your Facebook friends to share your design with their friends, encouraging them to vote for your design. This can be done in the same manner as #1 above, or, your friends can leave a comment on your design, and they will then have the option to share their comment, and your design on their Facebook wall.

3. Ask your Twitter followers to vote for your design by posting a direct link to your design page. If you are going to use Twitter, you are limited to 140 characters, so it's a good idea to use a tiny url (http://tinyurl.com) when posting your link. After you've done this, encourage your Twitter friends to retweet your tweet!

4. If you have a website, blog, MySpace or LinkedIn account, etc. post a link to your design and encourage people to vote!

Rules & Regulations

* A minimum of 20 designs must be submitted in order for the contest to continue. We will begin taking submissions on Monday, March 8, 2010. Submissions can be posted directly onto the Street Star fan page and will be taken until April 15th, 2010.

There will be two rounds of voting. First round of voting will begin on ALL submissions on 3/8/10 and end on 4/20/10. From those submissions, Street Star will choose the top 5 entries based on creativity, design and the number of fan "votes" (comments and likes).

** Only one comment/like will be counted towards your votes. If someone comments more than once, it will count as only one vote.

2nd round of voting on the top 5 entries will begin on 4/26/10. The design with the most comments/likes by 11:59pm on Sunday, May 2nd, 2010, will be chosen as the winner.

Should your design be chosen as the winning entry, you agree that the Street Star Custom Clothing has the unrestricted right to: use your winning design in whole or in part, commercially or non-commercially, in any media known or unknown, in perpetuity, worldwide, including the right to publish and display the winning design for advertising and publicity, and to edit and make derivative works, all without additional review or compensation.
